Tourist Family (2025)

Following the severe economic crisis in Sri Lanka, Dharmadas (Sasikumar), his wife Vasanthi (Simran), and their two young sons decide to flee their homeland in search of a better life. They cross the border illegally and arrive in the bustling city of Chennai, India. To avoid detection by the authorities and prevent deportation, the family assumes the identity of "Tourists" visiting the city. The story follows their heartwarming and often hilarious journey as they navigate life as undocumented immigrants. While Das works various odd jobs to sustain the family, they find themselves in comical situations trying to blend into the local Chennai culture while keeping their true identities a secret. It is a touching story of survival, resilience, and the unbreakable bond of a family facing extraordinary challenges with a smile.
