Full Plot Summary
Bhooth Bangla (2026) follows a group of young content creators led by Ayaan, who explore haunted locations to create viral videos. In search of their biggest breakthrough, they decide to spend a night inside an abandoned mansion known locally as “Bhooth Bangla,” despite warnings that no one who enters ever leaves unchanged. Initially, the group treats everything as entertainment, but once inside, they begin experiencing disturbing supernatural events—doors slamming on their own, strange whispers, glitching cameras, and eerie reflections in mirrors. The situation turns serious when one of the members, Riya, mysteriously disappears, forcing the group to confront the reality that the house is genuinely haunted.
As they dig deeper, they uncover the tragic history of the mansion, which once belonged to a wealthy family destroyed by betrayal and murder. At the center of the haunting is Meera, a restless spirit trapped between worlds, not merely seeking revenge but justice. The story takes a personal turn when Ayaan realizes that his own family is connected to the tragedy—his grandfather was responsible for betraying the family that once lived there. This revelation shifts the narrative from a typical haunting to a deeply emotional confrontation with the past. One by one, the group members fall victim to the house’s supernatural traps, leaving Ayaan to face Meera’s spirit alone.
In the climax, Ayaan accepts his family’s sins and attempts to free Meera’s spirit through a dangerous ritual as the mansion descends into chaos, shaking violently and engulfed in shadowy forces. Just as it seems all is lost, Meera finds peace upon hearing the truth, and her spirit finally calms, allowing the haunting to subside. The mansion is partially destroyed, and the surviving members escape, believing the nightmare is over. However, in a final twist, Ayaan’s camera turns on by itself, capturing a mysterious shadow that is not Meera, hinting that a darker presence still lingers and the story is far from over.
